The SCRIPT CIRCLE mission
Hi, I’m Michelle Claase - screenwriter, editor, creative producer, and guest lecturer in the Masters of International Screenwriting & Production (MISP) at Università Cattolica.I know the struggles of trying to break into the industry, and I’m still very much on that path myself. SCRIPT CIRCLE was born from understanding the challenges writers face between drafts - the waiting, the uncertainty, and the lack of accessible, affordable feedback.There have been times when an opportunity came up (a producer, a competition, a pitch) and I sent a draft that wasn’t quite ready, simply because I didn’t have anyone to read it first, nor the time to wait for feedback that might never come. After graduation, the support bubble I once had disappeared as everyone got busy working. Coverage services are expensive, and the feedback often feels impersonal.Like my writing, which often starts from wanting to create the kind of stories I wish existed, SCRIPT CIRCLE is the tool I always wished I had. There’s no clear path between early drafts and professional coverage, and this platform bridges that gap.Few scripts ever reach production, but every script deserves to be read. And if we can help each other make our stories stronger, maybe we can all bring a few more great scripts into the spotlight.
